Habia visto el programa de 20/20 y me acuerdo del segmento que habian hecho sobre su organizacion. Cuando vi el episodio de Extreme Home Makeover esta noche, me emocione tanto por ver lo que habian hecho por su familia y por la organizacion. Me alegro que puedan reunirse en un sitio seguro para esos padres que necesitan una influencia positiva en su vida.
Tambien me alegro que ustedes tengan un sitio que puedan llamar "mi casa". Yo llore tanto durante el episodio que tuve que enviarles un mensaje. Que Dios los bendiga a todos. Que sus hijos sean hombres que puedan seguir adelante con los sueños y metas que quieran lograr. La Familia Marrero son inspiracion para otras familias Hispanas que creen que no se puede cambiar la situacion en que esten viviendo. Que Dios bendiga su hogar e organizacion,hoy y siempre.

Hello Victor and Boys! What a wonderful thing you are all doing - I have sons of my own, and they were equally touched by your stories (one finds himself suddenly a single dad too!). We are a small town in the north woods, but we are determined to pitch in and help you with whatever we can - you let us know and we will do our best also. It's wonderful to help those who try to help themselves, and that is definately what this is all about.

I have been watching Extreme Makeover: Home Edition since it first began airing, and I have seen a lot of wonderful and deserving families on the show. However, your family touched and moved me more than any other, so much so that I felt the need to write you to let you know. The love you and your boys show for each other is beautiful. You must be so proud! I was amazed at the work you do to keep your family safe and healthy, and it is obvious that your boys know you would do anything for them. It seems that your generosity and love has been passed onto the next generation as well, as was evidenced by your oldest son's comment that he would give it all up again if only you could keep your new bedroom. What beautiful boys you have, and how wonderful to see that they are following in the footsteps of their amazing father.

I am so happy that you now have a comfortable, safe and healthy place to call home, and a great new space for the organization you created to help single fathers. You all deserve it so much! May you have years and years of happiness in your new home!

Victor, I want to say that your episode of EMHE was wonderful. It brings tears to my eyes just to think of it. What you are doing for your community is wonderful, one can only hope that you have inspired single fathers elsewhere to follow suit. Your selflessness has renewed my faith in the goodness of people. I wish all the best to you and your boys, and I think that if anyone deserved the home makeover, it was you.
 

Hi Marrero Family! I have just seen your episode of Extreme Makeover Home Edition. I am rarely compelled to write comments about anything, but your family are such an inspiration. I am a single mum and found it hard raising one child. I was fortunate in that I was able to buy a home for us. My son has a chronic life threatening illness, and I am always in awe of how he has accepted the hand he was dealt and just gets on with it. In the same way I am in awe at you too. Rarely in this life do you see people so driven as you are, and I congratulate you. I am truly humbled. I hope that I can take a little bit of what you represent and carry it into my life.
